Deana Marchone Walsh

Deana coordinates a wide range of fundraising events, as a board member, and serves as Community Outreach Director. This includes long-range planning to enrich and spread the organization’s mission. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources from the University of Maryland University College. MHCF is near and dear to Deana’s heart, since she lost both of her parents to cancer at an early age.

Local Non-profit Supports Families Admidst Cancer Struggles.
In addition to the already burdensome costs of treating cancer, when a child or family member is critically ill, one parent may have to leave his or her job to care for them. This makes it difficult for families to cover expenses they previously did not have difficulty with, such as utility bills, rent or mortgage payments, rising gas costs, and other everyday expenses. MHCF offers families assistance with some of these costs.
